NIRO Education will be hosting its first Career Guidance and University Readiness Conference on 26 July 2023. The aim of the conference is to present various study, career, and funding opportunities that are available for students locally and internationally. Students will be introduced to and equipped with critical skills such as critical and analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, soft skills, and much more that will give them the competitive edge that will prepare them to excel at university.
Additionally, students will undertake a psychometric assessment which will assist students in potential fields of study, aptitude with regards to subject choices, career choices, personality traits, strengths, and areas of development as per their brain profile. Moreover, the conference will give insights into the emerging markets and skills gaps in Namibia. Moreover, this platform will provide learners and students to explore the untapped educational opportunities at local and international institutions.
The conference will take place on Wednesday, 26 July 2023, 09h00 at DW Auditorium, Old Power Station, Windhoek.
The conference will comprise of presentations and exhibitions. It will bring together stakeholders from the education arena including secondary schools (Grade 11 & 12 learners), Institutions of Higher Learning, and various key stakeholders.
